Minutes circulated previously. 2. Action Items being worked now: a. Contracts with each company must be signed as soon as possible. Both Penn State and Lamont must have funding for graduate students to begin work. In addition, costs of travel (Houston, Lafayette and New Orleans) and duplicating data are mounting. We need you, our corporate liaisons, to push your lawyers and management to get these checks out the door. b. EI 330: Anderson met with Sven Havig of PGS about Diamond/PGS seismic acquisition. He is setting up meeting with Diamond. 4D meeting with GECO for acquisition of seismic for both EI 330 and 360/361 was canceled in mid-July because of Lamont problem. This meeting will be rescheduled for August. Penn State is continuing acquisition of field-wide dataset. Penn State is currently generating structure maps, rock property maps (Sw, phi, dt, rhob) and amplitude maps of the Lf sand. Shell/Exxon seismic data and Lamont 4-D processing software is being transferred to Shell's Bellaire Technology Center, where AVS environment is being set up in Houston for the project. Other companies interested in obtaining Beta-test version of software, please call Roger at 713-245-7801--he will be at Shell working EI 330 and ST 295 for the month of August. c. ST 295: Western and Shell are close to signing agreement to swap seismic datasets necessary for Lamont and Penn State to acquire datasets. The signing should be done by Aug. 8th or so. The plan is for the following pre-processing steps to be done at Shell's Bellaire Lab in August: Step 1: Normalize the amplitudes within each survey , i.e., eliminate striping. Step 2: Resample and re-bin all data sets. Step 3: Apply spectral equalization. Step 4: Convert data back to SEGY then convert to Landmark format and forward to Lamont and Penn State. Penn State is proceeding to acquire wireline data for ST 295 field. d. EI 360-361: Penn State to visit Lafayette in early Sept. to acquire field data. e. Service Company Membership Letter. Anderson is holding back on the drafting of that letter until the seismic surveys are acquired from Western, GECO and Diamond/PGS. This is more critical than adding them to the consortium. 3.
